Working in the hair industry for the last 20 years has given me great insight into our guest experience. In the past, we've been like most other salons.
We offered an a la carte service menu, and the prices listed were the lowest base price.
Our guests would come to their appointment with their hair dreams and be advised to create that you'd need to add on things like toners, treatments, bond builders for lightning, and so much more.
They weren't expecting this to increase the cost and often lead to sticker shock at the checkout. We've all been there, and we know it's not a nice feeling.
Not to mention busy mums and professionals would never know how much time they would be at the salon. This also caused frustration.
So we said 'bye bye' to the old a la carte model and for the past 18 months, we've been charging you, our lovely guests, time and materials rather like tradespeople do.
But we're not tradespeople. We're artists that use your hair as our medium and are commissioned by you to create your dream look. There are so many approaches and techniques we draw from. We don't expect you to know all the hairdressing technical terms, and the process to create your hair masterpiece (although mesmerising to some) doesn't need to have every technique used to be listed.
And most importantly, you do not want to have a surprise at the counter as you go to pay that your bill is more than you expected.
So we're making it simple -
We've made a move to all-inclusive hourly pricing.
That's it.
You'll be charged for your choice of hair artist or alchemist per hour rate no matter what you have done on your hair.
You book in for 3 hours to have your hair done - and the price will be exactly what you booked for. No matter what we do.
You can have colour, treatments, toner, or whatever is needed to create your hair dreams and still pay the same price per hour.
It couldn't be more transparent and straightforward. Our guests must know precisely what they are paying for when they go to walk out the door.
And why do we love it?
Because we can give your hair all the love it needs without you having to worry about your budget.
Because we wholeheartedly believe in the importance of hair and scalp health. And by doing hourly sessions, we can do whatever your hair needs. Not just for it to look great, for it to thrive as well. Whatever we can achieve for you in your time session, we will do.
And it's gender-neutral!
