Which five words best describe you?
Compassionate, creative, big-hearted, bubbly and driven.
How did you get your career start and what path have you taken since?
I’ve been interested in arts, dance, painting, drawing, photography, etc. since I was a kid. My Aunty who has been hugely influential in my life offered an incredible opportunity to work alongside her at her photography studio. She taught me all she knew with photographic touch-up however I found my self-being mesmerised with the hair. She mentioned going a hair styling course so I could style the hair for her photo shoots. After that the rest is history and I’ve never looked back. I spent six years working under highly acclaimed hair guru Mana Dave at his salon Blaze and Pony Professional in Newmarket, where I have gained the experience, skill and confidence to be the stylist I am today. I’m looking forward to the next chapter in my journey at Common Thread.
What’s the best lesson you’ve learnt along the way?
(Laughs!) I think most hairdressers will agree with me on this one – “You can never take anything personally”.
What are you passionate about?
Family, friends, food and anything arty.
What dream do you still want to fulfil?
I can’t wait to own my own lifestyle block and have free range chooks, huge veggie garden and orchard.
